Liverpool fans think that Roberto Firmino is being played out of position and that the forward’s poor form is a direct result of the tactical chance from Jurgen Klopp.

For the most part of this season, the German boss has opted to play the Brazil international as a centre-attacking midfielder behind Mohamed Salah, as opposed to as a central striker with the Egyptian on the wing.

Firmino recorded 26 goals and 15 assists last season as a centre-forward, often dropping deep to allow Salah and Sadio Mane to run inside and get on the scoresheet themselves and to some effect – the former scored 43 goals, whilst the latter hit 20.

This season, however, whilst the defence has been much improved, the goals have dried up in comparison to last season. Firmino in particular has just three league goals to his name so far this campaign, and fans think it is down to the tweak in his positioning…
