Liverpool's reported summer transfer target Ryan Sessegnon scored a hat-trick as Fulham beat Sheffield United 5-4 in a crazy Championship encounter at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night, and Reds fans have urged their club to sign the impressive teenager.

The Liverpool Echo reported in May that the Merseyside outfit were keen on the 17-year-old but they pulled out of a potential deal after thinking he was destined to join Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur during the summer – a move that never materialised.

Despite being just 17 years of age the left-sided player – who can play at left-back or in a more advanced role on the flank – was making his 50th first-team appearance for the Cottagers against United and he marked the occasion with a brilliant hat-trick.

It is something that is sure to have caught the attention of Jurgen Klopp following another disappointing performance from Alberto Moreno in the Champions League.

Liverpool supporters were quick to have their say on his showing via social media, and while one said "go and sign Sessegnon from Fulham in January", another pleaded with the club to "just pay the money" needed to get him.
