Joe Gomez has received plenty of plaudits for his performance for England on Tuesday night.The Liverpool defender managed to keep the world's expensive footballer Neymar quiet in a goalless draw with Brazil at Wembley.The contest was a friendly, but Gomez certainly gave England manager Gareth Southgate something to think about ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.Since recovering from a long-term injury, the 20-year-old has become a regular figure in Liverpool's team.So far, Jurgen Klopp has started the youngster in 10 games in all competitions, but he has predominantly featured as a right-back.After his performance against Brazil, Liverpool fans are now calling for Gomez to be played in central defence to partner Joel Matip, ahead of Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan.

The Reds' defence has come under plenty of criticism this season, and it is understandable why given that the team have allowed 17 Premier League goals to be shipped past them.
