Liverpool were showered with praise when they ended Manchester City's unbeaten Premier League run a few weeks ago.

The Reds looked as though they did not miss their influential playmaker Philippe Coutinho, but two games later, and life looks slightly dire for the team.

Jurgen Klopp's men were beaten 1-0 by Swansea City in the league on Monday and this evening were knocked out of the FA Cup by West Bromwich Albion at Anfield.

It was a dramatic match that ended in a 3-2 defeat for the Reds, but one of the main talking points was the VAR system, which has been trialled six times in England.

Referee Craig Pawson called on the technology on various occasions, disrupting the contest for three to four minutes at a time to disallow a goal and give a penalty, which was missed by Roberto Firmino.

Understandably, Liverpool fans were left frustrated by the result, and many took their anger out on Klopp.
