Liverpool fans want Origi to start vs Burnley after Mane setback

Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to a possible setback ahead of the Burnley clash, and they think it could be good news for derby hero Divock Origi.

Liverpool could be set for a crucial setback ahead of the clash with Burnley, as Mane is expected to miss the visit to Turf Moor.

While Jurgen Klopp has not ruled the winger out, his press conference comments on Mane’s injury do not sound positive.

“Sadio has an awful cut in his foot. He needed to be stitched. He is walking around in flip-flops, but we don’t play in flip-flops,” the boss said.

Needless to say, the fact that Mane can’t even wear normal shoes does not bode well for playing a very physical Burnley side on Wednesday night.

Presuming Klopp does rest the Senegalese star with the busy festive schedule on its way, fans are calling for Origi to take his place.

The 23-year-old was out in the cold until his derby winner on Sunday, and fans are hoping his confidence can propel him back to his early form under Klopp.
