Liverpool fans are feeling optimistic about their final showdown with Real Madrid on Saturday, so much so they’re already discussing who they want to score the winning goal.

Liverpool are undoubtedly the underdogs for their Champions League final clash on Saturday night, but that isn’t stopping fans dreaming about that glorious winning goal.

Zinedine Zidane’s side are going for their third consecutive title, but Klopp’s Reds have plenty of players that can hurt them, and fans simply cannot decide on who they’d prefer to score the winner.

There are plenty of Reds who would create an epic storyline if they scored the winner, and the overriding favourite is of course Mohamed Salah, who needs a hit trick in the final to hit Ian Rush’s single season Liverpool goals record.

Sadio Mane has taken some flak for his performances at times this season, but the speedy Senegalese international carried the Reds through their struggles in the last campaign, and his cult hero status would be cemented forever with a winner.

Dejan Lovren scored the winner in the historic Europa League comeback against Borussia Dortmund, and what a tale of redemption it would be if the Croatian could grab another.

Finally, there are plenty of shouts for the two full backs, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the overwhelming majority choosing the Scottish left back.

Whether it be the relegated Scotsman, the local lad, the much maligned Lovren or the ever evolving Salah, Liverpool fans are desperate for that historic number six on Saturday, and some of the best Twitter reactions can be found below…
