Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson is set to stay at the club next season and will be offered a new contract according to The Liverpool Echo.
The 21-year-old winger has been the subject of a number of loan offers this summer, with Celtic’s recent offer rejected by the Reds.
Wilson spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City and enjoyed a very successful spell, scoring seven goals in 13 games for the Championship side.
He also scored two goals in Liverpool’s first game of pre-season against Chester and many expected him to be loaned out again next season.
However, according to the report, Wilson wants to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp and break into the first team and is also set to be rewarded with a new contract by the Liverpool boss.
Reds fans have been reacting to the news on social media and here’s a selection of their best comments.
Great news this. Hope we don’t loan him out and we give him more of an opportunity, so much potential with him!

Love to see him get a run in the first team

I can see Wilson doing a Kane, where he goes on loan after loan and eventually shows his worth in the league!

Squad would look a whole lot stronger with him in there, we missed pace against Madrid, and although he probably wouldn’t of provided it then, he defiantly could now. Even if he played about 20-30 games this season I still reckon he’d hit double digits

Harry Wilson deserves his chance. Impressing with the Reserves for awhile now, and proved his worth at Hull last season on loan in the championship.
