Liverpool fans want to re-sign Conor Coady

Liverpool extended their lead at the summit of the Premier League table on Sunday afternoon with a narrow 1-0 victory over Wolves at Anfield.

It was a game clouded in more VAR controversy amid intensifying discontent with the introduction of technological interference this season.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side suffered a relatively traumatic few days after finding themselves on the wrong side of a VAR decision on a multitude of occasions – a trend that forced captain Conor Coady to label the system “confusing” and claim that it’s “not working”, per BBC.

The former Liverpool prospect spoke with eloquence and maturity on the subject, and it appears his attitude and the quality of his performance on Sunday have impressed the Reds faithful on Twitter.

Such is the extent of their appreciation for the 26-year-old, some have called for the club to re-sign him.

Meanwhile, these fans have all suggested that he could be a decent replacement for Dejan Lovren, whose contract is set to expire in June 2021.

The Croatian has struggled to convince since he arrived at the club from Southampton and it seems some supporters are already anticipating his departure.

Discussion over Wolves players did not start and end with Coady, though.
