Liverpool fans want to see more of Naby Keita after the £52m summer signing’s slow start to life at Anfield, as Jurgen Klopp opts to bed his new acquisitions in gently.
Keita arrived on Merseyside along with Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri, all of whom have played a big role in the first-team so far this season except for the Guinean international.
We all know that Klopp likes to bed his new men in, as we saw when Fabinho wasn’t even making the matchday squad in the early parts of this campaign, but we are midway through January now, and Liverpool fans are getting impatient.
The 23-year-old was one of the Bundesliga’s best performers last season and attracted the interest of some of Europe’s top clubs, so the Reds’ supporters are getting understandably anxious that the midfielder isn’t playing a key role in the team yet – especially as Manchester City breathe down the back of their necks…

Yes. At full tilt he’s our best midfielder, just needs a run of games, it will come, patience is the key here

He will start more games when Klopp thinks he is ready to, just like Fab. Trust Klopp’s judgement #YNWA

He’s not wine. Keeping him in storage won’t make him any better. Play him more and more and more, please!

He needs a decent run, even from the bench. Otherwise it could as well be £50m down the drain.
