Not many would have predicted that Xherdan Shaqiri would be the summer signing that has made most of an impact at Liverpool.

The 27-year-old made the move to Anfield from Stoke City for a reported £13m fee, which is proving to be quite the bargain.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Shaqiri has only started four games in all competitions, but in his 10 outings in total he has impressed on the pitch.

The Switzerland international has shown plenty of energy and skill on the ball when tasked with trying to break down defences.

Shaqiri has also shown his versatility in that he can play anywhere across the front three, but also slightly deeper or in the number 10 role.

The former Stoke star scored his second goal of the season in the Reds' 2-0 victory over Fulham before the international break, and he is certainly pushing for a regular starting spot.

While representing his country on Sunday night, Shaqiri stole the show in a dramatic 5-2 victory, which sent the team into the last four of the Nations League.

He nabbed two assists on the night, and his overall game impressed plenty of Liverpool fans, who posted their thoughts on Twitter.
