Jose Mourinho is not a well-liked figure in the red half of Merseyside due to his past spells at Chelsea and current job as Manchester United manager.

Liverpool fans will be the first to mock the Portuguese coach if his team lose, and on Saturday he made headlines for a different reason.

United came from a goal down to lead Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in the early kickoff, but in the sixth minute of stoppage time Ross Barkley netted an equaliser for the Blues.

During the celebrations, Maurizio Sarri's colleague Marco Ianni goaded the United bench, which caused Mourinho to jump from his seat and try to confront the coach.

The United manager had to be restrained by stewards before being approached by Sarri, who apologised for Ianni's actions.

Liverpool fans have had their say on the incident via Twitter, with some criticising Mourinho's reaction and others claiming that he deserved more respect from his former club.
