Liverpool fans worried about Firmino playing for Brazil during international break

Roberto Firmino is a favorite among the Liverpool fanbase as he has transformed the club’s forward line alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Since moving to the Merseyside outfit from Hoffenheim in 2015, the attacker has scored 50 goals and racked up 41 assists.

This season, the 26-year-old has started all three of the club’s Premier League fixtures, all of which the club have won, but he is yet to find his stride on an individual level.

The Brazilian has registered two assists but he is yet to find the back of the net, unlike his teammates Salah and Mane.

Next month, the domestic action will take a break for international duty, and Firmino is expected to play in friendlies against the United States and El Salvador.

At the World Cup, the Liverpool star played just 82 minutes of action in Russia, but he is likely to get the nod in the upcoming fixtures.

The Independent reports that Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus has been left out of the squad, while Everton winger Richarlison has received his first call-up.

With Firmino likely to get game time for his country next month, some Liverpool fans are concerned that the forward will suffer an injury.
