Watford are set to land Liverpool youngster Jerome Sinclair on a permanent deal this month, according to Sky Sports.
The 19-year old forward is out of contract with the Reds this summer and is understood to have rejected their offer of a new deal to stay on Merseyside.
He broke history when he became the club’s youngster ever player in 2012 at the tender age of just 16 years and 6 days after making a substitute appearance against West Bromwich Albion.
Recently, he notched his first senior goal on his first start for the club, in the FA Cup away at Exeter City.
A move to Spain had been mooted, with La Liga side Espanyol, though the Hornets are believed to have stolen a march on the talented youngster.
The Hertfordshire outfit have already signed Malaga winger Nordin Amrabat this month and are said to closing in on Sunderland shot-stopper Costel Pantilimon.
