Adam Bogdan’s future at Liverpool appears to be hanging by a thread, with Jurgen Klopp having axed him from his Europa League squad for the remainder of the season, according to reports from the Liverpool Echo.
The Hungary international only joined the Reds from Bolton on a free transfer over the summer and has failed to make a positive impact at Anfield.
An obvious No.2 behind Simon Mignolet, Bogdan was never set to play a big role, but he has been called upon on a few occasions since the arrival of Klopp, responding with gaffes at Watford and Exeter City.
He has since been completely overlooked by his manager, with youngster Danny Ward having been recalled from a loan spell at Aberdeen to act as cover, while reports have claimed that the German is ready to sell.
And now Bogdan’s future is in serious doubt, with Klopp having removed him from his list of registered players for the knockout phase of the Europa League.
Ward has been put in, as have Joao Carlos Teixeira and Steven Caulker, while injured duo Joe Gomez and Danny Ings have been taken out.
