Whispering the name ‘Luis Garcia’ into the ear of a Chelsea fan could cause immediate projectile vomiting. The Spaniard has gone down in Liverpool and Chelsea folklaw as the man who scored the deciding ‘ghost goal’ against the Blues in the 2005 Champions League semi-final, with the Anfield outfit going on to win Europe’s greatest prize in Istanbul later that year.
No one detests that controversial moment more than Jose Mourinho, so you can imagine his annoyance when Luis Garcia surprisingly turned up on Merseyside today ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League title-decider with Chelsea, much to the delight of the Anfield faithful.

I have to grant Liverpool though, parading Luis Garcia around was quite a funny dig at Mourinho and Chelsea.
