Liverpool have dismissed Euro giants’ opening offer for key star

Liverpool have already knocked back an opening offer of €30m (£23.5m) from Paris Saint-Germain for Philippe Coutinho, according to reports from Marca.

The Brazilian, who is currently away with his home nation at the Copa America, has been a huge hit since his move to Anfield from Inter Milan in January 2013, and is widely considered to be the key man in Jurgen Klopp’s side.

His performances, allied to Liverpool’s consistent failure to qualify for the Champions League, have, however, led to claims that some of the continent’s biggest sides could lure him away, with PSG and Barcelona thought to be the front-runners.

And reports claim that Liverpool have already received an opening offer of just over £23.5m for their talented 23-year-old, which they swiftly dismissed.

There have been no indications that Coutinho himself is eager to leave Anfield, though, and it’s already been claimed that the Reds are set to fight t keep hold of their man.
