Liverpool have got yet another wonderkid on their hands

Is he the next Raheem Sterling? Or the next Ryan Babel? Who knows – all we know for sure is that is takes some skill to score a goal as good as this.

Jerome Sinclair scored an absolute wonder goal in for the Liverpool Under-21s in their game against the Chelsea Under-21s the other night.

The striker pulled out into space on the left-hand-side of the pitch in a manner reminiscent of Thierry Henry, before accelerating past his man and finishing from a ridiculously tight angle.

Jordan Ibe is the latest player to come through the ranks at the Premier League club and earn himself a place in the first team squad. Ibe is following in the footsteps of fellow forward Raheem Sterling, who is fast-becoming one of the hottest prospects in Europe, never mind England.

When Sinclair will break into Brendan Rogers’ first-team is anyone’s guess, but it certainly feels more a matter of ‘when’ than ‘if’.

Jerome Sinclear currently holds the club record for the youngest ever player to don the Liverpool shirt at 16 years and six days.
