Former Anfield icon Luis Garcia has pleaded with the Kop to give new signing Roberto Firmino time to adapt to his new surroundings, according to talkSPORT.
The £29m arrival from Hoffenheim is yet to score or assist for his new club, but Garcia believes the Brazilian international will come good.
‘It’s not easy to come to the Premier League and adapt’, stated the 37-year old Spaniard who was part of the infamous 2005 Champions League winning squad.
‘You have to give him time. to adapt,’ added Garcia, who is preparing to square off against Manchester United for a legends charity match in Stockholm.
The current Liverpool side will face the Red Devils on September 12th, and Garcia is backing the Selecao star to prove his worth, in a similar vein to teammate Philippe Coutinho.
‘He’s a player who wants to do things to change games, like Coutinho does at the moment.’
The Reds currently lie in 7th place after their 3-0 reversal at home to West Ham, their first loss of the season.
