Liverpool in contact with wing star mooted as Mourinho Man United target

Liverpool are keen on Braga star Rafa Silva and have already contacted the Portuguese club regarding a summer deal for the winger, according to reports from A Bola.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the top talents in the Primeira Liga in recent times, and has weighed in with six goals in divisional action for the Iberian club, who trail only Benfica, Sporting CP and Porto in league action.

Recent rumours have suggested that Silva is a major target for Jose Mourinho should he take charge at Manchester United this summer, but reports claim that Liverpool are looking to move to the front of the queue for the Portugal international.

It’s understood that there has been preliminary contact between the Merseysiders and Braga, who may struggle to keep their key man away from one of Europe’s top leagues, especially if he shines at EURO 2016.

Portugal have a rich history of producing talented wide attackers, with the likes of Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo among the nation’s list of footballing products.
