According to reports from ESPN, Liverpool are in talks to sign Manchester City youngster Rafael Camacho.
The 15-year-old joined the academy set-up at the Etihad in summer 2014, having previously risen through the youth ranks at Sporting Lisbon.
Despite being reportedly rated as one of Portugal’s brightest talents for his age group, it appears he hasn’t done enough to impress the coaches at City.
ESPN claim the Citizens have informed the midfielder that he’s unlikely to earn a professional deal with the two-time Premier League champions.
And that in turn has reportedly sparked transfer interest from Liverpool, who have been tracking the youngster’s progress for some time.
It is claimed talks over a move to Anfield are already at an ‘advanced stage’, suggesting Camacho will soon follow the path of former fellow City youngster Diego Lattie.
Liverpool signed the England U17 right-back, also coveted by Manchester United and Everton, from the City academy last month – as reported by The Liverpool Echo.
