Liverpool have joined the race to sign Arsenal star Carl Jenkinson, who is currently on loan at West Ham United, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 23-year-old left the Gunners at the start of the season following the arrival of Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers, and has impressed during his time at Upton Park.
However, the emergence of Hector Bellerin from the Arsenal youth team could push Jenkinson permanently out of the Emirates, with the Hammers keen on signing him this summer.
But the Irons could be facing some competition from the Reds, as manager Brendan Rodgers has lined up Jenkinson as the perfect replacement for veteran right-back Glen Johnson.
Johnson’s Liverpool contract expires at the end of the campaign, with Serie A side AS Roma interested in his signature.
Jenkinson has been a mainstay for West Ham manager Sam Allardyce since his loan move, making 29 appearances in all competitions.
