The Reds are expected to let their experienced Spaniard leave either this month or at the end of the season – when his £65,000-per-week contract expires – following his slide from the first-team set-up on Merseyside.
Enrique is yet to make an appearance under Jurgen Klopp – he last played almost a year ago in an FA Cup clash with Bolton – but should he exit, the club are eager to bring in a replacement to ease the burden on Alberto Moreno.
And reports claim that they’re watching Guerreiro closely, with the Portugal international having impressed in Ligue 1 of late.
The 22-year-old is a key member of Les Merlus’ senior set-up and has helped the club into a top half position in France’s equivalent of the Premier League.
Guerreiro, who can also play as a left-sided midfielder, has been capped three times at senior international level and is a player Klopp tracked while he was in charge of Dortmund.
