Liverpool keen on move for Everton slayer

Liverpool are considering a £19.5m move for Ukrainian star Andriy Yarmolenko, who played a big role in knocking Everton out of the Europa League last week, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The 25-year-old notched Dynamo Kiev’s first goal in their 5-2 thrashing of the Toffees on Thursday, further building on his reputation as one of Eastern European football’s finest talents.

Ukraine’s player of the year has attracted attention from a host of clubs, but Liverpool appear to be at the front of the queue as they plot their summer business.

Yarmolenko is a pacey wide player, who has been praised for his ability to beat his man and deliver deadly passes to his forward-thinking team-mates.

Dynamo want around £19.5m for their man, who has also been a target for Manchester United and Chelsea in recent times.

Yarmolenko is not the only Ukrainian player to have been on Liverpool’s radar in recent times, with the club having chased Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk’s Yevhen Konoplyanka in 2014.
