Liverpool chief Brendan Rodgers is planning a loan move for out-of-favour Chelsea winger Victor Moses, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The Nigerian international is believed to be some way from the starting XI at Stamford Bridge, and is set to drift further from regular action with the arrival of Willian imminent.

Rodgers is keen to take advantage of this as he steps up his pursuit of attacking reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

The Northern Irishman is thought to be a long-term admirer of the 22-year-old, and believes that he would add further depth and quality to his options at Anfield.

Moses only signed for Chelsea last summer from Wigan, and has always struggled to dislodge a number of established names for a starting berth.

The Londoners are set to demand a £2m loan fee, and are hopeful that Liverpool will fund his £55,000-per-week wages.

But, Rodgers is keen to reduce both of these figures as he looks to hold back funds for other potential deals.

Moses is yet to make a competitive appearance under Jose Mourinho, but the Portuguese coach is believed to have told him that he is not for sale.
