Liverpool scored two goals in the final few minutes of their FA Cup clash with Bolton to complete a 2-1 comeback after giving away a penalty, Sky Sports reports.
Former Chelsea man, Eidur Gudjohnsen, gave the hosts a 59th minute lead from the spot after Martin Skrtel’s mistimed tackle sent Zach Clough to the ground.
Brendan Rodgers’ side went all out in the last 25 minutes after Neil Danns was sent off for picking up a second yellow, leaving the Reds to attack against a 10-man side.
Neil Lennon’s side held their opponents as they sat back and defended, even seeing Liverpool hit the post on two occasions and the upright once.
Despite holding off for so long, Bolton finally lost their first goal from Emre Can’s perfect pass to Raheem Sterling, who rifled the ball under the legs of goalkeeper Andrew Lonergan with four minutes of normal time remaining.
Five minutes later, a Philippe Coutinho screamer sent Rodgers’ men into the next round after the Brazilian attacker’s long ranged shot bounced off the underside of the upright and into the back of the net.
