Two Liverpool legends are set to return to Anfield tonight to watch their former side take on Manchester United in one of the most hotly anticipated fixtures of the season so far.
According to reports from The Daily Star, both Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard are set to grace the Kop with their presence this evening to witness the monster clash between the two clubs.
Both are Liverpool heroes in their own rights. Gerrard, for his years of service, brilliant midfield play and loyalty to the club; and Suarez for being arguably the clubs most talented player of the past two decades despite only spending a relatively short amount of time on Merseyside.
Gerrard is back in Liverpool is receive treatment for a hamstring injury sustained while on duty for LA Galaxy, while the Uruguayan is reportedly making the trip as a surprise for fans, despite being due to take on former manager Pep Guardiola’s new club Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday at the Nou Camp.
Former Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is also likely to be present in the stands.
