Liverpool linked with relegated striker

Loic RemyQPR striker Loic Remy could be available at a bargain price and Spurs are said to be at the front of the queue, but Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool are also keen, according to the Express.

The French frontman cost the R’s £8million in the January transfer window, when they signed him from Marseille, but he is expected to move on for much less than that following QPR’s relegation from the Premier League.

With a figure of around £5million being mentioned, several clubs have been alerted to his availability with Liverpool and Arsenal among them, but Tottenham are said to be leading the race.

The White Hart Lane outfit tried to land Remy 18 months ago, when Harry Redknapp was in charge, but were knocked back by a huge asking price of £18million.

But Spurs could get him for a fraction of that price, as the striker ponders his future, although the 26-year-old has said he is happy to stay in England.
