Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria put in a solid display in midfield for Reading as his side settled for a 2-2 draw against Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at the Royals and has only made two first-team appearances for the Reds since emerging from the academy. The Englishman is currently in his third loan spell in two seasons at the Madejski Stadium.

He spent last season with Steven Gerrard's Rangers side, where Ejaria scored three goals and provided three assists in 28 appearances.

The youngster has been firing this season with two goals and one assist in the Championship, with a current average match rating of 7.32, according to WhoScored.

QPR who were in good form going into the game with back-to-back victories against Blackburn and Hull City.

However, the Melwood graduate illustrated why he is still on the books at Liverpool as he presented plenty of problems to Mark Warburton's side.

He provided the assist for George Puscas' equaliser in the first half and was proving to be an irritant to the Rangers' defence.

He completed three key passes and was aggressive going forward with three completed dribbles out of the five he attempted.

Ejaria proved to be a workhorse for the visitors. He won seven ground duels out of 13 that he took part in and made four clean tackles before he was substituted in the final moments of the game.

Of course, the Rs deserve credit, too.

The home side were just as tenacious in midfield with their hard-hitting challenges but lacked creativity in central areas.

But at the age that Ejaria is, he has a bright future as he continues to try and convince Klopp that he is good enough to feature in the Liverpool squad.

After making his last Reds' appearance more than three years ago, it remains a mystery in terms of how many more chances he will be given.
