The Reds today sealed a shock loan move for Steven Caulker to ease their defensive concerns, while Marko Grujic’s long-awaited move to Anfield was rubber-stamped last week – albeit he will see out the season on loan back at Red Star Belgrade.
However, it seems that the club’s business may not yet be over, with reports claiming that Guerreiro is now wanted.
The Portuguese defender, 22, has been earning rave reviews in France for his performances with Ligue 1 midtable outfit Lorient, and could be drafted in to challenge Alberto Moreno for a starting role at Anfield.
It’s understood that the club are looking at a deal this month, but the Merseysiders may face competition from Napoli and Roma.
Guerreiro has been capped three times at senior international level and played alongside Liverpool man Tiago Ilori for Portugal’s U-21s last summer as they finished runners-up to Sweden in the European Championships.
