Liverpool meet Italian giants in order to thrash out forward deal

AC Milan want to keep flop forward Mario Balotelli at the club and will meet Liverpool in order to thrash out a deal, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian has seen his stock plummet over the course of the last two seasons or so, originally leaving the San Siro in order to join the Reds.

However, an infamously poor season at Anfield led to a loan move back to the Rossoneri, where the 25-year old has once again struggled.

With the Jurgen Klopp revolution well underway, it seems hugely unlikely the former Manchester City marksman will be kept on by the Merseyside giants.

He’s openly discussed his eagerness to remain in Milan rather than a return to the club that paid £16m for him last year.

‘I want to stay at Milan. I do not want to return to Liverpool. I was never happy at Liverpool’, he stated in regards to his future.

‘Plus Milan have the money.’

Citing La Gazetta Dello Sport, it is claimed the parties will discuss a more permanent arrangement over the course of the next few weeks.
