That has obliged the Ibrox outfit to act quickly, with Rossiter’s Liverpool contract due to expire at the end of the season. He’s now in Glasgow to thrash out the terms of a free transfer to the Scottish Premiership side.
Because it will count as a cross-border transfer, Rangers will only have to pay around £250k in compensation.
