Jurgen Klopp may not be planning on signing anyone in January, but Moanes Dabour is desperate to join the German at Anfield, per TuttoMercatoWEB.

What’s the word?

26-year-old centre-forward Dabour has recently been linked with a move to Valencia, but TMW understands the Israeli international only has his eyes set on moving to Merseyside.

The Italian publication’s recent report has claimed the 11-cap international is waiting for the phone to ring and offer him the chance to work under Klopp in the Premier League.

A move would be possible for £22.3million thanks to a €25million release clause inserted in his contract at the Red Bull-owned franchise, and should be seriously considered by the powers that be at Anfield.

So far this season, the Nazareth-born star has tallied 20 goals and six assists in all domestic competitions, which include four goals in four Champions League qualifying appearances before six in six in the Europe League group stage.

The next Shaqiri

Xherdan Shaqiri may have only joined Liverpool in the summer, but the 27-year-old has been an instrumental player at the heart of the Reds’ Premier League title aspirations.

The Swiss international’s arrival signalled a drastic change in tactics for his German manager, with Klopp able to consistently slot Mohamed Salah into the central striker spot rather than on the wing, knowing the former Stoke City leader would offer his side the needed width and creativity.

Dabour could similarly come in at Anfield and offer a shake-up, with Klopp presented another leading forward to compete with Roberto Firmino, who has become the driving force behind the centre-forward rather than leading the line this season.

A lack of competition for this spot, as well as the left-wing, is one of the prominent flaws in Liverpool’s squad, however, and could be what causes their first Premier League title to go amiss yet again, with Manchester City able to regularly rotate across the field thanks to a magnitude of options.

It would be better for Klopp to strengthen while he can, rather than seeing the title slip away like Brendan Rodgers suffered when Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge looked to fire the Anfield natives to glory.

Should Klopp grant Dabour his wish? Let us know in the poll below...
