Liverpool new-boy shows oozes class with this move

As if the country wasn’t already in love with Southampton’s never-ending supply of young British footballers, Adam Lallana has gone that one step further to pay his respects to his former Saints’ employers and fans.

The 26-year-old Englishman finalised a £25 million move to Liverpool on Monday after two months of speculation, but has left the Saints with a classy message in taking out a full page spread in the Southampton Daily Echo to thank the club for the support he has received.

This follows on from fellow Englishman Rickie Lambert’s heartfelt statement as he also secured his move to Liverpool prior to the World Cup.

Lallana’s gesture will come as welcome news to Liverpool as they have recently been rocked by the saga surrounding Luis Suarez.

After a classless attempt to force a move from the club last season, to his latest biting escapade, Lallana’s loyalty and show of decency will not go amiss in Merseyside.
