Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has praised teammates Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard as ‘from another world’.
Coutinho has been a revelation since he arrived from Inter Milan in the January transfer window and his link-up play with Suarez has been a huge factor in the Reds recent results including a victory over Tottenham Hotspur last week.
The Brazilian cost Brendan Rodgers just £8.5million but Coutinho is not taking all of the glory as he was quick to heap praise on Suarez and captain Steven Gerrard.
The 20 year old has been working on bulking his body up to handle the physicality of the Premier League despite not being phased by hard challenges that he will inevitably receive, being the talented player he is.
Suarez is one of the leading contenders for Premier League player of the year this season after notching 22 times for the Reds and Coutinho has been impressed by the Uruguayan.
“Suarez is phenomenal – he is otherworldly,” Coutinho told talkSPORT.
“The goals he scores, the way he gives himself to the team…it is very important and I am very happy to be able to play next to him.
“I think it’s the way he gives himself to the team. He doesn’t let one ball go – even if it’s the hardest one.
“He fights all the time to win and I admire that in a player. I think it is one of his strong points.
“I’m not only happy to play next to him, but also other players like Steven, who is phenomenal too.
“These are guys from another world!”
