Liverpool are ready to send Mario Balotelli to Fiorentina as they look to secure a deal for club star Josip Ilicic, according to CalcioMercatoWeb.
The 25-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan with AC Milan and has also been linked with a permanent return to his former side.
However, the Reds are now prepared to send the striker on loan to Fiorentina in the hope that it will help secure a summer deal for Ilicic.
It is believed that the Serie A outfit have already agreed to the terms of a potential swap, but are still in negotiations over Balotelli’s wages.
He managed to feature 22 times in all competitions during his loan spell with Milan, scoring a total of three goals while providing another one assist.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is ready to let him leave as he wants to lure Ilicic, who has registered 15 goals and six assists in all competitions, to Anfield this summer.
