Liverpool Set To Bid For Dutchman

GK Michel Vorm (Swansea)

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is set to raid his former club Swansea one again with the swoop for goalkeeper Michel Vorm, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Rodgers claimed that he would not poach Swansea players after leaving the South Wales club in the summer, just weeks before he signed Joe Allen to bolster his midfield.

The Merseyside boss is set to open negotiations with his former employers once again for the services of highly rated Dutch stopper Vorm.

Rodgers has become tired of current ‘keeper Pepe Reina after the Spaniard has been at fault for a number of goals this season, making a goalkeeper a number one target for the summer.

The Anfield boss is set to add at least five new signings to his squad this summer despite record losses in the clubs finances last season.

The sales of players such as Andy Carroll, Jay Spearing and Stewart Downing will make funds available for Rodgers to dive in to the transfer market once again.
