Liverpool are ready to sanction the sale of Mario Balotelli to Espanyol during the upcoming transfer window, Fichajes reports.
The 25-year-old is set to return to Anfield following a loan spell at AC Milan, but could now seal a permanent exit this summer.
Balotelli has struggled ever since joining the Reds from Milan back in the summer of 2014 before being loaned back to his former side.
However, manager Jurgen Klopp looks to have already made plans regarding his squad, with the striker expected to be given a very limited role if he decides to stay.
Espanyol are hoping they can complete a deal for the Italian forward, a factor that could benefit both sides as the Reds look to cash in on his services.
Aside from the Spanish outfit, Ligue 1 giants Monaco are also considering a deal for the player despite his huge decline in form.
He only managed to feature 22 times in all competitions for Milan this term, scoring a total of three goals while providing another one assist.
