Liverpool star denies transfer rift

Liverpool striker Luis SuarezLiverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has insisted that there will be no ill feeling shown towards Luis Suarez if he opts to stay at Anfield.

The controversial Uruguayan has been actively trying to force a move away from Merseyside all summer, but, as of yet, he has been unable to leave.

Real Madrid are believed to be Suarez’s club of choice, however Arsenal are the only side to have made a concrete offer.

Their £40m bid was swiftly knocked back by the Reds, which has led to rumours that he may stay for at least half of the 2013/14 season.

Although sections of Liverpool’s supporters have grown frustrated by their wantaway star, Henderson says that there will be no negativity shown towards him by the other players:

“Things like that happen in football and hopefully we can keep Luis and he can be fantastic like he has been for the last few years,” he is quoted by the Daily Mail.

“There will be no problems with the lads. We know he has been brilliant for us for the last few years and I’m sure if he stays he will carry on doing that and it will not affect his football one little bit.”

Liverpool themselves are in the market for new arrivals, with Brazilian pair Guilherme Siqueira and Willian, of Granada and Anzhi Makhachkala respectively, their top targets.
