He may be no Luis Suarez, but Liverpool’s Rickie Lambert is making an argument for being the most complete striker in England – well, sort of.
The former Southampton forward’s goal in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Ludogorets Razgrad means he’s scored in League 2, League 1, The Championship, Premier League, Internationally and now the Champions League.
This may not be the best way to judge a striker, but it does point to how well Lambert has done to rise up through the ranks, and still be achieving new things aged 32.
Lambert’s return to form is one of the few positives to come out of Anfield right in what is fast-becoming a season to forget.
