Liverpool star Adam Lallana will undergo scans to reveal the extent of the injury he picked up against Manchester United on Sunday, according to reports from the Express.
Lallana sustained a groin problem during the clash and is set to become the latest player to withdraw from the England national squad.
The former Southampton star was taken off at half-time to be replaced by Steven Gerrard, who only lasted 48 seconds before being sent off for a stamp on United ace Ander Herrera, resulting in the Reds losing 2-1.
The Three Lions will already be without Red Devils defender Luke Shaw and Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster, with both players pulling out with respective injuries.
This meant that Queens Park Rangers shot-stopper Robert Green and Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose have been called up to replace their compatriots, with England boss Roy Hogdson also now looking at an alternative for Lallana.
England will play Lithuania in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Friday before facing Italy in a friendly fixture next week.
