Liverpool star wanted in Spain

Liverpool forward Luis Suarez

Real Madrid have joined the list of clubs reportedly interested in Luis Suarez, according to the Daily Mail.

The Liverpool forward has been linked with a move away from Anfield for most of the season, after scoring 23 league goals.

Despite being banned for 10 matches for biting Branislav Ivanovic, Suarez has attracted interest from some of the top clubs in Europe. Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with the Uruguayan, who has 3 years remaining on his contract at Liverpool.

The controversial forward has been banned for 19 matches in a Liverpool shirt, yet has never received a red card for the Merseyside club. But after scoring 30 goals for the Reds in all competitions, it’s no surprise he has attracted some of the best teams in the world.

Liverpool finished 7th, 12 points adrift of a Champions League place. And with Europe’s elite competition so appealing for players, Suarez may leave Anfield to play for a top team.

In light of the rumours, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted Suarez is not for sale.
