The Italy international’s Reds career is dead in the water after scoring just one Premier League goal during his only full season on Merseyside.
Indeed, Balotelli has suffered a spectacular fall from grace since lifting the Premier League title with former employers Manchester City back in 2012.
The 25-year-old was loaned out to AC Milan last season but seriously struggled for form once again, finding just a solitary strike in Serie A.
It’s no great secret that the Anfield outfit are looking to offload their £16million flop and Super Lig champions Besiktas have offered him an escape route.
Earlier this week, club president Fikret Orman was incredibly open about his hopes of signing the former City star, telling Fanatik; “In short, we want Mario Balotelli and he wants us too.”
But according to fellow Turkish publication Sabah, Balotelli has snubbed a summer switch to the Vodaphone Arena.
Although the 6 foot 2 forward would be interested in moving to the Turkish top flight later in his career, he wants a summer transfer to either the Premier League, La Liga or Serie A.
