Rennes attacker Paul-Georges Ntep has revealed that a move to German giants Bayern Munich “interests” him.
The 23-year-old enjoyed an excellent 2014/15 campaign in Ligue 1 in which he found the back of the net on nine occasions and weighed in with a further five assists as his side finished in midtable.
Liverpool were reportedly in talks with the youngster ahead of the summer transfer window, but a move failed to come to fruition.
And now Ntep has fuelled transfer speculation with the January window on the horizon by confessing that, amid links with Bayern, he would find into difficult to turn down a move:
“Bayern interest me,” he told Telefoot (via Goal). “England and Germany have spectacular leagues in which attackers gain recognition quickly.”
Ntep has been lauded for his pace and technique and has already represented France on two occasions.
He started his career with Auxerre – the same club that produced Zinedine Zidane – before joining Rennes in 2014 following a string of impressive showings in Ligue 2.
