According to reports from The Metro this morning, Liverpool are plotting a £15million swoop for Bayer Leverkusen winger-forward Son Heung-Min this summer.
The South Korea international has been in fantastic form to bag 17 goals and four assists in 36 appearances across all competitions this term, including eleven goals in the Bundesliga – leaving him ninth in the division’s scoring charts – whilst averaging 2.1 shots, 1.4 created chances and 1.7 successful dribbles per match.
That’s reportedly caught the attention of Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who is keen to reshuffle his strike-force in the coming transfer window following poor campaigns from Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini, amid the absence of injured England international Daniel Sturridge.
According to the British tabloid, the Reds are planning a bid around the £15million mark. But they might not be the 22 year-old’s only suitors this summer; earlier in the season, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham were all linked with Heung-Min by The Daily Star.
