Valencia defender Aly Cissokho has confirmed that he wants to stay in La Liga despite interest in him.
The Spanish side are in a dire financial state and need to sell their best players once again in order to keep competitive.
Valencia have sold the likes of David Silva, David Villa and Jordi Alba in recent years and are set to have a feeling of deja vu this summer with Roberto Soldado the big name departure that looks imminent.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his defence after Martin Skrtel’s poor form last season and Jamie Carragher’s retirement.
The versatility of Cissikho and bargain transfer price is set to attract bidders this summer but the left back is keen to stay in southern Spain.
“Every player at the club is being linked with a move because of the financial situation at the club,” he told Sky Sports.
“I have some clubs interested (in me) but I am happy here at Valencia.
“Under Pellegrino I played a lot, but I didn’t play much under Valverde although I played in an important game in the Champions League (against PSG).”
