Recent reports suggested that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had identified the Brazilian international as a top transfer target, however Marcelo was keen to distance himself from such rumours.
The 25-year-old has just one year remaining on his current contract at the Bernabeu, but insists he has no intention of leaving the Spanish capital this summer.
“My best memory of football was when I signed for Real Madrid because I did not expect it,” he told El Mundo Deportivo.
“It was a spectacular moment. I’ve been here since I was 18, I’m from Madrid in practice and I am proud to be one of the captains of Real Madrid.”
Rodgers may yet look to sign a new left back in the summer, with first choice Jose Enrique having not played since mid-October due to a knee injury.
Aly Cissokho is also expected to return to Valencia, after failing to impress Rodgers during his season long loan spell at Anfield, whilst Jon Flanagan is considered more of a natural right back for the future.
