Liverpool to offload striking star to make room for £30m Tottenham target

Liverpool are ready to cash in on Christian Benteke in order to lure Tottenham Hotspur target Michy Batshuayi to the club, Mirror reports.

The 22-year-old Marseille star is also being monitored by West Ham United and Juventus, with manager Jurgen Klopp already planning to reinforce his attack in the summer.

Benteke has been struggling to hold down a regular role this season as the Hammers, along with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, keeping an eye on his situation.

Batshuayi is one of many targets being eyed by Klopp, with the German boss also said to be tracking Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, the Dortmund forward could prove too pricey given that he is being valued at the £75m region while the Marseille star is rated at around £30m.

Batshuayi has already featured 45 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score 20 goals while providing another 10 assists.
