Liverpool to revive interest in winger

Blackpool winger Tom InceLiverpool are set to reignite their interest in Blackpool winger Tom Ince, according to reports from Goal.

The Reds were rumoured to be close to securing a deal for the England U-21 international in January, but failed to agree a fee with the Seasiders.

Since then their interest has cooled, but with their hopes of luring Porto’s Christian Atsu to Anfield fading they could step up their pursuit of Ince.

Cardiff have already had an £8million offer accepted by Blackpool for the 21-year-old, while Swansea are also said to be in the fight.

But, he is thought to favour a return to Liverpool – where he was a youth player – due to the Premier League status of the club.

Brendan Rodgers is keen to add further width to his attacking armoury despite having secured deals for both Iago Aspas and Luis Alberto already this summer.

Ince enjoyed a fine 2012/13 season in the Championship, netting 18 goals for the Tangerines.

Despite his best efforts, the club were unable to put together a push for the play-offs, which some have speculated has had a huge impact on his future.

Liverpool are also interested in Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but they will have to fight off interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Would Liverpool be a bad move for Tom Ince?
