Liverpool winger set to swap Potteries for Dubai

Liverpool are on the verge of selling Moroccan winger Oussama Assaidi to a Middle-Eastern club, as reported by The Liverpool Echo.

Having never truly established himself at Anfield since his £2.4million move from Heerenveen in summer 2012, totalling just four Premier League appearances for the Reds, the 26 year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan at Stoke City.

He scored four goals in 19 Premier League appearances for the Potters last term but his influence has since waned, and both clubs have now terminated Assaidi’s loan deal to facilitate a permanent move to the Middle East.

The Morocco international will join Dubai outfit Al-Ahli for £4.7million, a claim backed up by The Telegraph, and it’s believed the deal will be completed within the next 48 hours.
