Liverpool youngster Ben Woodburn will be hoping he can get his career back on track at League One side Oxford United.
The 19-year-old broke club legend Michael Owen’s record as the youngster-ever goalscorer when he bagged against Leeds United aged just 17 years and 45 days in 2017.
Unfortunately since his mammoth breakthrough, Woodburn hasn’t enjoyed the finest of times in domestic football, and a botched loan spell at Premier League promoted side Sheffield United saw him return to Merseyside prematurely.
Having been loaned back out, however, Woodburn will again be given a chance at regular football – this time under Oxford boss Karl Robinson, the very man who introduced Dele Alli to the world at MK Dons.
This could be last chance saloon for the youngster who is already competing with the likes of Harry Wilson, Rhian Brewster and Divock Origi, as well as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, at Anfield.

Woodburn recently took to Instagram following his competitive home debut at the Kassam Stadium in the U’s 1-0 win over Peterborough United, and footballers, being the hype merchants that they are, flocked to the comments section to do what they do best: hype.
